Strawberry Chiffon Cake Recipe

Here’s a simple recipe for a delicious Strawberry Chiffon Cake

Strawberry lychee chiffon cake



For the Cake:

– 2 cups cake flour

– 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar

– 1 tablespoon baking powder

– 1/2 teaspoon salt

– 1/2 cup vegetable oil

– 7 large egg yolks

– 3/4 cup strawberry puree (fresh or frozen strawberries blended)

– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

– Zest of 1 lemon


#### For the Meringue:

– 7 large egg whites

– 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar

– 1/2 cup granulated sugar


For the Filling and Topping:

– 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced

– 2 cups whipped cream



1. **Preheat the Oven:**

Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).

2. **Prepare the Cake Pan:**

Grease and flour a chiffon cake pan.

3. **Make the Cake Batter:**

– In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the cake flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

– In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg yolks, vegetable oil, strawberry puree, vanilla extract, and lemon zest until well combined.

– Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.


4. **Make the Meringue:**

– In a clean, dry bowl, beat the egg whites until foamy.

– Add the cream of tartar and continue beating.

– Gradually add the sugar and beat until stiff peaks form.


5. **Combine Batter and Meringue:**

– Gently fold the egg white mixture into the cake batter in three additions until well combined.


6. **Bake:**

– Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.

– Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.


7. **Cool:**

– Invert the cake pan onto a wire rack immediately after baking and let it cool completely.


8. **Assemble:**

– Once the cake is completely cooled, slice it horizontally into two layers.

– Spread a layer of whipped cream on the bottom layer and add a layer of sliced strawberries.

– Place the second layer on top and frost the entire cake with whipped cream.

– Garnish the top with more sliced strawberries.


9. **Chill:**

– Refrigerate the cake for a few hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld and the whipped cream to set.


10. **Serve:**

– Slice and serve the delicious Strawberry Chiffon Cake!
